Providence Journal on the Humanists of Rhode Island Adopt-a Highway
The Providence Journal reports on our Adopt-a-Highway.
* At 10 a.m., the Humanists of Rhode Island
will sponsor an Adopt-A-Highway cleanup at the corner of Park Avenue
and Reservoir Avenue in Cranston. The group, which had supported a
Cranston youth who successfully challenged
a prayer banner display at Cranston West, said it adopted a spot in
Cranston to demonstrate its values "to a community that may have a very
polarized view of Humanism and what we stand for."
